In May 2010, my country has surpassed Germany to become the world's largest manufacturing and exporting country. The manufacturing and integration capabilities of complete sets of equipment such as energy, oil refining, and nuclear power have been greatly improved, but there is still a significant gap compared with the international advanced level.
Since the occurrence of the global financial crisis and economic recession, countries such as the United States, Europe, Japan and Russia have re-examined their development strategies in order to cope with the crisis, recover the economy, and seize the opportunity and commanding heights of future development. On October 10, 2010, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council reviewed the situation and kept pace with the times, proceeding from my country's national conditions, science and technology, and industrial foundation, and officially issued the "On Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries" with the document Guofa [2010] No. 32. decision". The release of the decision has aroused widespread concern across the country and even the world.
Strategic emerging industries refer to industries that are based on major technological breakthroughs and major development needs, play a major leading role in the overall economic and social situation and long-term development, are knowledge-intensive, consume less material resources, have great growth potential, and have good comprehensive benefits. . In the decision of the State Council and the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", China's strategic emerging industries include 7 major areas:

(2) A new generation of information technology industry;
(3)Bio Industry;
(4) High-end equipment manufacturing;
(5)New energy industry;
(6) New material industry;
(7) New energy vehicle industry.
"If a worker wants to do a good job, he must first sharpen his tools". Among the 7 major fields, high-end equipment manufacturing industry is technology-intensive, has high added value, and has a strong driving effect. It is the core link in the industrial chain and the "engine" of development, the high-end part of the equipment manufacturing industry, and the realization of "Made in China". Create" an important engine of change. The other six strategic emerging industries also need the support of high-end equipment. The cultivation and development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry will provide strong support for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the development of strategic emerging industries.
I. "Eleventh Five-Year" my country's high-end equipment manufacturing achievements
During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, the total output value of my country's machinery industry increased from 4.18 trillion yuan in 2005 to 14.38 trillion yuan in 2010, with an average annual growth rate 28%, which is 16 percentage points higher than the expected target of 12% in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan". After years of hard work, the proportion and ability of my country's machinery products to meet the domestic market demand has increased rapidly. At present, the domestic market share has increased from about 80% in 2005 to about 85%. During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, my country has successfully developed a number of major and high-end new products.
1. Large-scale metallurgical mining machinery includes: a 5.5-meter-wide thick plate rolling mill with the world's advanced level, a complete set of equipment for 10 million-ton underground coal mines, a million-ton direct coal liquefaction equipment, and a 220-ton mine electric wheel automatic Unloading truck, the world's largest Φ7.9mx13.6m ore ball mill, the world's largest 100MN double-action horizontal aluminum extrusion press, the world's largest 55 cubic meter excavator, the world's largest power and mining height of 6,000 tons per hour intelligent Chemical shearers, etc.
2. The core device of million-ton ethylene complete equipment has been localized. The first domestically produced pyrolysis gas compressor for a million-ton ethylene plant was successfully developed in 2009. The three key equipments of the ethylene plant - cracked gas compressor, propylene compressor and ethylene compressor have all been completed and put into use.
